David Downham's Thoughts On Volunteering

Project Umbrella Burma would not exist if it wasn't for the work of Volunteers. Kaw Tha Blay Learning Centre relies on volunteers to teach English and other subjects. Volunteer teachers live at the school and get to know the students in a unique way. We ask for a commitment of three months to provide stability. A basic room and healthy food is provided. Please contact us if you have an interest in volunteering with us!

PUB has a voluntary Board of Directors who hold regular meetings, raise awareness of PUB's work and the situation on the Thai-Burma border, and actively participate in fund-raising. Many thanks to those who help with events at home.

We also have many voluntary visits in Thailand from medical professionals, teachers, and others at the Mae Tao Clinic and at Kaw Tha Blay Learning Centre.
